Royal Oak Lacrosse Boosters
Royal Oak, Michigan

Welcome to the Royal Oak Lacrosse website. The Varsity lacrosse team played its first official game in 2005 after two years as a club team.  The Ravens now have a varsity team and junior varsity A and B teams.  All home games are played at the ROHS stadium located behind the school.

We are pleased to announce that in 2011, the Royal Oak Lacrosse Boosters officially became a non-profit organization recognized by the City of Royal Oak and the State of Michigan.

Come be a part of the RO Lacrosse Boosters. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the ROHS Cafeteria.

Royal Oak Ravens Lacrosse 2012

  1. A final practice schedule for Week 1 will be distributed soon.  There are three girls’ soccer teams and two boys’ lacrosse teams. We are working on a schedule for the field turf.  Our tentative field time for the first three days will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Monday, March 12, 2012, all new players to the program will meet Coach Herron at 4:00 p.m. at The Stadium Entrance.
  2. Junior Varsity set of scrimmages on Saturday, March 17 at Holt High School in Holt, Michigan (east of Lansing off of I-96).  The scrimmages run from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and are played on grass.  If your son is a freshman or sophomore he will most likely play in these games.  There is a possibility that juniors new to lacrosse may play. I would like some varsity players to attend and work with the younger players.  We have to arrange our own transportation and I recommend car pooling.  All are welcome and encouraged to cheer on our Ravens!
  3. Although the start times are not on it, you can find our general game schedule on  Cousino, Avondale, West Bloomfield and Bishop Foley do not have JV teams so I will schedule a couple more games for the JV team.  Our schedule also is posted by the Athletic Office on .  The schedule, announcements, and information also are posted on the RO Lacrosse Boosters page
  4. We take orders for practice packs starting Monday.  The practice pack consists of a reversible practice jersey, logo t-shirt, and logo team shorts for approximately $45. Please make all checks out to Royal Oak Lacrosse Boosters.
  5. Daylight Savings Time begins this Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Please feel free to contact Coach Herron if you have any questions with regards to the program, conditioning or schedule at

Additional Notes:

Attire: Dress appropriately for the weather. Until it is dependably warm you should have sweatshirts and sweatpants (preferably grey or black) with you.  Dress in layers that work well for you — turtle neck, long sleeve shirt, t-shirt, Under Armor cold gear, or any combination thereof.

All players will need black shorts and a reversible (preferably white/black or white/navy blue) for practice.

You will need a jump rope for every practice.  I recommend an unweighted leather jump rope. (Dunham’s 13 Mile & Woodward and Dick’s John R north of 14 Mile).  Ensure your name is on it.

Although we should have water bottles, it is advisable to have one of your own in your bag.

Thank you!
